Pennsylvanians urged to apply for Find My Ride

The Pennsylvania departments of Transportation and Human Services are urging state residents to use a resource called Find My Ride, so they can apply for transportation assistance programs and explore transportation assistance options.

Since Find My Ride launched in May 2021, at least 12,500 Pennsylvanians have received approval for such services, according to PennDOT. People can use shared ride services and fixed bus route services in every county, including Butler.

“We’re pleased that so many Pennsylvanians have been connected to these important services, and we encourage more to apply,” said Yassmin Gramian of PennDOT. “Transit provides a vital connection to jobs, to medical appointments and to our communities.”

FMR Apply, a service developed in collaboration with transit agencies, streamlines the application process for eight transportation assistance programs.

These include the Senior Shared Ride program, the Medical Assistance Transportation Program, the Americans with Disabilities Act complementary paratransit, the Persons with Disabilities program, the Free Transit Program, the Area Agency on Aging, which funds trips for people 60 to 64, the fixed route half-fare and reduced-fare for people with disabilities and discounted shared ride service for veterans.

Travelers can use Find My Ride Apply by visiting www.apply.findmyride.penndot.pa.gov.
