Robert “Bob” Wade
Robert “Bob” Wade, 90, formerly of Harrisville and Grove City, passed away Monday following a brief illness while living in Phoenix, Ariz.
Bob was born Feb. 26, 1927, to Harry H. and Irene Wade of Annisville, Pa. He married Ruby Marie McGrady in August of 1950, and together they spent more than 50 years before the Lord took her home in 2001. He later married Edna Montgomery of Grove City; she preceded Bob in death in 2015.
Bob made a career at Cooper Bessemer in Grove City as a machinist. He also assisted Ruby with their home business, Wade Ceramics, located in Harrisville.
Bob is survived by two children, David E. Wade and his wife, Kathy Thomas, of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Debra L. Reiff and her husband, Darrell, of Davie, Fla. He has two awesome grandchildren, Aaron D. Wade and his wife, Jessica Macleod, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Rebecca S. Wade Richardson and her husband, Christopher, of Gilbert, Ariz. He has been blessed with five grandchildren. He also is survived by one brother, James Wade, and one sister, Velma Deets.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; both wives; four brothers, Chester, who was an infant, Charles, Donald and Roy Wade; and two sisters, Mae Martin and Mary Hovis.
WADE — Visitation hours for Robert “Bob” Wade, who died Monday, March 27, 2017, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Eau Claire Cemetery.
