James Double
James M. Double, 88, of Renfrew passed away Wednesday morning in Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born July 11, 1926, in Connoquenessing, he was the son of the late James M. and Dorothy Hoffman Double.
Jim was of the Protestant Faith. He had retired from Armco as a diesel train operator. Jim served in U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II on Iwo Jima.
He loved to farm and be outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Wilda Schrecengost.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ralston Double, who he married May 29, 1976; two sisters, Wanda Faull and Evelyn Hockenberry, both of Renfrew; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
