Moniteau High School FFA students celebrated the 8th Tractor Day Wednesday. Ten students rode tractors to the school, said Judy Stoops, whose son, Austin, a junior, drove his John Deere tractor for the event. Bryan Dean, FFA adviser and vocational-agricultural teacher, organized the tractor day with his students. Stoops said the FFA each year celebrates with a school picnic and tractor parade where students and teachers are invited throughout the day to see each tractor. Stoops said students aren’t required to be members of the FFA to participate. In past years, as many as 30 students have ridden tractors to the school.
