Kim Lorraine (Carrier) Woods

Kim Lorraine (Carrier) Woods went into the arms of Jesus on Thursday.

She was born Nov. 27, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Laura “Joan” (Gamble) and Burnett B. “Bud” Carrier.

She was the widow of Glenn L. Woods, whom she married on Oct. 13, 1973. Glenn passed in 1989.

Kim graduated from Freeport High School in 1972. Kim also graduated from Butler County Community College School of Nursing, where she received her degree as a registered nurse in 1992.

Kim was employed with Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights as a registered nurse for more than 25 years.

Kim leaves behind her loving son, Wade (Holly) Woods; and her precious daughter, Laura (Nicholaus) Obringer, all of Buffalo Township.

She also leaves behind her devoted partner of 20 years, Richard “Dick” Wesolosky, and Dick's son, Dan Wesolosky; her brother, Clayton Carrier of Butler; and her sister, Sherry (Charles) Peiffer of Buffalo Township.

She also is survived by her “Mimi's Bunch,” Alyssa Obringer, Weston Woods, Paige Obringer, Samantha Obringer, Brodey Woods, Grace Obringer and Zander Woods; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Kim was preceded in death by her sister, Ivy J. Carrier; and her nephew, Buddy Peiffer.

From Kim's great-grandmother's Painters Bible; 2 Timothy, 4:7-8: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

WOODS — Family and friends of Kim Lorraine (Carrier) Woods, who died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 678 Sarver Road, Sarver, with the Rev.
