William J. Anderson

William J. Anderson, 59, of New Castle passed away peacefully Wednesday at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Bill was born April 2, 1958, in Jamestown, N.Y. He was the son of the late James and Dorothy Anderson.

Bill married Lucille Anderson on May 26, 2012.

Bill's love for the outdoors carried through to his job with Hilliard's Logging. He worked in the woods as a logger and also as a supervisor. He enjoyed his job and was happiest in the woods. His family was the most important thing in his life, dropping whatever he was doing to go and help wherever he was needed.

He passed on his love for the Lord to his family as well, reading his Bible regularly. Although he will be dearly missed by his family, they are comforted in knowing he is now with his Lord.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lucy; and his children, Curtis Anderson and his wife, Heidi, Ashley Runser and her husband, Larry, and Trevor Anderson and his wife, Ressie. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Christopher Pell and his wife, Jessica, Steven Pell and his wife, Brianna, and Rebecca Churchill and her husband, Jon; his grandchildren, Austin and Katelyn Rose; numerous step-grandchildren; Bill's sisters, Brenda Pattison, Ruth Anderson, Kathy Francis and her husband, Bill, and Sarah Aldich.

Bill was welcomed into heaven by his parents; a sister, Jamie Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Tom Pattison.

ANDERSON — The family of William J. Anderson, who died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the funeral service at 6 p.m. Friday at the West Unity Community Church, 400 Unity Road, Harrisville. The Rev. Boyd Smith will officiate the service.Visitation will also take place from 10 until 11 a.m. with a time of remembrance to follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Jamison McKinley Funeral Home, 117 N.
