Edward Charles “Ole Ed” Kersul, 84, of Cabot, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at his home.

Born Nov. 28, 1938, in West Winfield, he was the son of the late Charles Paul Kersul and Emily Shimmel Kersul.

He worked at Penn Dixie, Pullman Standard, J.D. Miller, and Trinity Industries.

Ed loved the history of West Winfield. He also enjoyed computers, stamp collecting, watching old TV shows, and photography.

Surviving are his loving children, Ronald E. (Mary) Kersul of Kittanning, Michael A. (Donia) Kersul of Sarver, and Toni (Bill) Rice of Butler; his sister, Delores Perry of Butler; six grandchildren, Nicole (Joshua) Barnett, Christina D. (Paul) Meyer, Randy M. Kersul, Heather Lynn Abbott, Christopher Edward Abbott and Jonathan Michael Abbott; and six great-grandchildren; Hayley D. Barnett, Dylan L. Barnett, Logan H. Meyer, Cole A. Meyer, Brooklynn M. Abbott and Alaya Jayde Abbott.

KERSUL — Friends of Edward Charles “Ole Ed” Kersul, who died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Herman, with Pastor Robert Grimm officiating.
