Virginia Hurley
Virginia “Ginny” Rose Hurley, 68, of Pittsburgh died of cancer Wednesday at the Squirrel Hill Center for Rehabilitation.
She was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Butler, to Clarence Joseph Hurley and Mary Jane Turgeon Hurley.
Ginny attended St. Paul's Church and School. She graduated in 1965 from Butler High School. She attended George Washington University. She had lived and worked in Pittsburgh throughout most of her adult life.
Virginia is survived by one daughter, Renee F.; four grandchildren, Caitoriana, BreeTaralyn, Lochlen and Keidan; her sister, Joan M. Nelson (Franz) of Regina, SK, Canada; her brother, Robert L. Hurley (Phyllis) of Plymouth, Minn.; her sister, Janet E. Parks (John) of Oceanside, Calif.; her brother, John J. Hurley (Janice) of Erie; five nephews; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her older sister, Marian C. Vogel (William) of Phoenixville, Pa.
HURLEY — A Mass will be conducted at 8 a.m. Aug. 24 and again at 7 p.m. Sept. 25, both at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.A local family memorial service and gathering will be conducted in August.In lieu of flowers or gifts, condolences may be made to the Hurley family at 8 Thomas Ave., Butler PA, 16001.Burial will be in Butler at the family's discretion.
