Terry O. Kriebel
Terry O. Kriebel, 67, of Parker passed away Saturday morning at his home of natural causes following a period of 20 years as a stroke victim.
Born on March 3, 1947, in Dutch Hill, Clarion County, he was the son of the late Lee and Alice Everett Kriebel.
Following graduation from A-C Valley School — Emlenton Building, Class of 1965, he entered the U.S. Army serving from 1966 to 1968. He served 22 months of duty at Fort Carson, Colo. He was a member of the American Legion of Parker.
Terry worked for the former Glass Containers at Parker and Witco Chemical at Petrolia. In 1970, he began employment with Koppers, now Indespec, at Petrolia, where he was employed for 26 years until becoming disabled due to a stroke in 1995.
He attended the Parker Presbyterian Church, where he married his wife, the former Kathleen Slagle, on Dec. 19, 1970. His proudest accomplishment was that of rearing his sons and enjoying his grandchildren.
Terry enjoyed hunting, camping, caring for his home and yard, and being accompanied by his chocolate lab, Chloe.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his two sons and their wives, Darrin (Norma) Kriebel of Punxsutawney and Brandon (Cara) Kriebel of Butler; his four grandchildren, Micah, Maddi, Connor, and Raegan Kriebel; his sister, Doretha Rhodes of Lebanon, Ind., and Rodney Kriebel of Parker, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Arvella Horner, and his four brothers: Junior, Bobby, Ray, and Bruce Kriebel.
Kriebel — The friends of Terry O. Kriebel, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
