Robert L. “Bob” Hurley, 83, of Park Ridge, Ill., died on Dec. 11, 2022, at home after a lingering illness.

He was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Butler, to Clarence Joseph Hurley and Mary Jane Turgeon Hurley.

Bob graduated from Butler High School 1957, and from Duquesne University with degrees in business in 1961, and law in 1964.

He worked as a CPA and tax accountant for various companies throughout the United States during his career.

Bob is survived by his wife, Phyllis Broad Hurley of Park Ridge, Ill.; a son, Kevin of Wisconsin; a daughter, Kristie Hammes (Paul) of Park Ridge, Ill.; two grandchildren, Sophia and Claire of Park Ridge, Ill.; his sister, Janet Parks (John) of Oceanside, Calif.; his brother, John Hurley (Janice) of Erie; five nephews and two nieces; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Joan Marie Nelson, Marian Claire Vogel (William) and Virginia Rose Hurley.

HURLEY — A memorial Mass will be conducted at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, at a future date.
