Church Without Walls went to the Butler City Police Department Wednesday to pray for and thank the officers.
“This was just one of those things that we thought would be helpful to the police, just to let them know that we're supporting them,” said Lisa Gill, a member of Church Without Walls.
Church Without Walls is a collective of several churches in and around Butler which meets monthly to pray and share information about goals and events.
Members of the group circled around with police officers in the station and prayed for the safety of the officers. They also gave thanks for them.
