Donald E. “Double D” Day, 80, of Hilliards passed away Monday at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove.

Don was born Aug. 15, 1936, in Hilliards. He was the son of the late John S. Day and the late Helen Barnes Day. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Hilliards Methodist Church. Don was a heavy equipment operator for Heckett. He was an avid golfer.

Don is survived by his wife, Gloria J. Carlantonio Day, whom he married April 4, 1959; one daughter, Denise L. Tilko, and her husband, Stanley, of Butler; two grandsons, Adam and Matthew Tilko; and one brother, Dennis (Hillary) Day of Virginia.

DAY — The family of Donald E. “Double D” Day, who died Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
