Kevin Stoner

Stoner

Kevin John Stoner, 63, of East Butler, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away in his home on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022.

Kevin was born on Oct. 10, 1959, in Clarksburg, W.Va., and was the son of the late Clarence A. Stoner and Anna Marie (Huesman) Stoner.

He grew up in Bethel Park and graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1977. He studied automotive marketing management at Northwood Institute in Midland, Mich., and in Fort Worth, Texas, and later became a certified electrician through Dean Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh.

Kevin worked alongside and for his father at Stoner Truck Sales and Stoner Centre for many years, and he owned and operated Stoner Trucking until 1990. He later retired as a self-employed electrician.

Kevin was known for living his life on the edge and on his own terms. He was smart and fun to be around, and he was always the life of the party! He loved to make people laugh and had the most wicked sense of humor. His heart was generous and his soul was kind.

He loved all things classic — namely, music, clocks and cars, and he had a nice collection of each. He loved animals and was a great Pap-Pap to his granddogs and cat. And most of all, he loved his daughters. They were the loves of his life and his proudest achievement. He was fiercely loved and will be sorely missed.

In addition to his daughters, Carleigh Stoner of Butler, and Kaitlyn Stoner (R.J. Powers) of Morgantown, W.Va., he is survived by his siblings, Scott (Janet) of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Craig (Kyle) of Port Matilda, Pa., and Jill (Jeff) Taweel of Wilmington, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Emily Mather.

STONER — Arrangements for Kevin John Stoner, who died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, were handled privately by DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME in Library, Pa.

Kevin was a member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church, 900 Randolph Ave., East Butler, where memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
