I missed your original post so I apologize if some of this isn't relavant. It sounds like you left PA quite awhile ago if Moraine state park wasn't in yet. It might be a good idea to look at some Butler County maps on the internet, as most of the restaurants suggested are on or right off of highways. You might have left before I-79 was put in. Cranberry Twp. is the area just north of Allegheny County. My dad says he used to hunt there before I-79. It was all woods and fields, now it's all highways and strip malls. I ate at the Longhorn last night and had a fabulous meal for a good price. The Longhorn is in a strip mall off 228 (which meets up with 19 right near an I-79 onramp.) And the Ginger Hill Tavern is on the main street in Slippery Rock, I believe it is called Main Street. I have had many great meals there. Have you visited the website www.visitbutlercounty.com ? It has a lot of information and maps and you can have brochures sent to you. I think sometimes I forget how many cool things there are around here, having lived here for so long. Happy travels!
