Russell Blair Smith

Russell Blair Smith, 82, of Butler passed away gently Sunday at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born May 20, 1933, at home in Rayburn Township.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Russell Lee Smith and Ella Mae Chesnut; and siblings, Ken, Edna, Harry and twins.

He is survived by his companion, Ann Aites; his daughters, Patty Wilson, Linda Fry, Pam Beers, Bonnie Sue Cravenor and Jackie Grates; and his sons, Russell Smith Jr. and Billy Smith.

Russ was retired from head of security at Butler Hospital and as a constable. He continued to work numerous other jobs, including at the 422 Auto Auction, until the month before his passing.
