David L. Otterson
David L. Otterson, 75, of Butler passed away at 3:15 p.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born May 27, 1939, in Butler to the late Oscar L. Otterson and Ruth E. (Eberhart) Otterson.
David was a graduate of Butler High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a repairman at Armco until retiring in September 1997, with 35 years of service.
David was a member of the American Legion Post 117 of Butler, the Meridian Veterans Club and the Flat Fender Club. He enjoyed Jeeps and cars.
Mr. Otterson is survived by his wife, Pauline C. “Pauley” (Brown) Otterson, who he married Oct. 11, 1969; two daughters, Erica O. Baun and her husband, Curtis, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Greta R. Curry and her husband, Chris, of Butler; five grandchildren, Scott Baun and his wife, Jessica, of Clovis, N.M., Cari Baun of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Bill Amendol and his wife, Amy, of Youngstown, Ohio, Jacob Curry of Butler and Megan Curry of Butler; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, Gracie, Mason and Matthew; one brother, John W. Otterson and his wife, Marcie, of Harrisburg, Pa.; one sister, Shirley M. Haug and her husband, Robert, of Bethlehem, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
OTTERSON — Friends of David L. Otterson, who died Monday, April 20, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Leon Blaise of the Butler Church of the Nazarene and the Rev.
