William Orloski

William F. Orloski, 76, of Petrolia passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him Saturday evening at Allegheny Valley Hospital following an extended illness.

Born Nov. 24, 1936, in Summit Township, he was a son of the late William J. Orloski and Stella T. (Birckbichler) Orloski.

He was retired from the Bessemer Lake Erie Railroad.

He was a member of the St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in West Sunbury, had enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, playing cards and volunteering his time at bingo for his church.

He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Yvonne C. (Kuhn) Orloski, who he married July 13, 1960; four children, William (Mona) Orloski of Monroe, La., Steve (Tammy) Orloski of New Bethlehem, Pa., Erika (Rick) Mulligan of Newberry, Ohio, and Lesley (Dave) McGregor of Petrolia; his seven grandchildren, Megan Whitney, Allison Whitney, Bryce Orloski, Morgan Orloski, Julia McGregor, David McGregor and Ethan McGregor; four brothers, Robert Orloski, John Orloski, Kenneth Orloski and Donald Orloski, all of Butler; and four sisters, Phyllis Steighner of Buffalo, N.Y., Janet Lydon of Cabot, Mary Otero of Apopka, Fla., and Joann Lindstrom of Cabot.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Orloski, and his sister, Germaine Voelker.

Orloski— Friends of William F. Orloski, who passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
