Sue Cumberland

Sue Cumberland, 73, of Butler passed away Thursday at 2:05 p.m. at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born April 15, 1942, in Harrisburg, Pa. to the late Paul W. Lontz and Ellen E. (Shoaff) Lontz.

Sue was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a cook at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, and a member of the Sugar Spice widow support group. Sue enjoyed knitting, singing, playing games and cooking and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Diana J. Imler and her husband, Keith, of Butler; two sons, Brian P. Cumberland and his wife, Evelyn, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Michael S. Cumberland and his wife, Margie, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Olivia J. Cumberland, Scott C. Cumberland, Thomas M. Cumberland and his wife, Melanie, Jared M. Cumberland, Steven P. Imler, Natalie S. Imler and Julie E. Imler; two brothers, Jeffrey Lontz and his wife, Michele, of Mercer and Dale Lontz and his wife, Cheryl, of New Cumberland, Pa.; and also by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonny Paul Cumberland, who she married Sept. 15, 1958, and who passed away March 7, 2012; and two brothers, Raymond Lontz and Kenneth Lontz.

CUMBERLAND — There will be no public visitation for Sue Cumberland, who died Thursday, April 14, 2016.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., with Rev. David Maitland, pastor, of the First Baptist Church, officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, c/o First Baptist Church, 221 W.
