The borough of Kittanning in neighboring Armstrong County is one of 51 recipients statewide to receive a Keystone Communities Program grant.

Gov. Tom Wolf announced Tuesday that recipients in 30 counties will share $8 million in funds to create growth and stability in their neighborhoods while encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Kittanning will receive $50,000 for the Kittanning Borough Façade Grant Program, which focuses on improving existing façades in the central business district.

“These projects will build stronger communities, attract new residents and businesses, and boost the commonwealth’s economy,” Wolf said.
