Helen A. Mainhart

Helen A. Mainhart, 90, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 11, 1925, in West Winfield, Pa., She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Yauch) Abranovich.

She was a homemaker and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed fishing, ceramics and embroidery. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are her two sons, David A. (Karen) Mainhart of Audubon, Pa., and Thomas E. (Rose) Mainhart of Butler; her daughter, Sherry (Aaron) Bartman of Auburn, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Erika, Stefen, Matthew, James, Sherry and Benjamin; her great-grandson, Hugo D. Mainhart Helms; and her great-granddaughter, Paloma Mainhart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Mainhart, who passed away Dec. 18, 2004; three brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Andrew Abranovich; and her sister, Mary Mainhart.

MAINHART — Friends of Helen A. Mainhart, who died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
