Christine Marie Ferguson, 87, of Harrisville, passed away at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Grove City on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022.

She was born in Boyers on May 29, 1935, to Joseph Benedek and Marion Kelsey Benedek.

She married Lester Carl Ferguson, who preceded her in death.

Christine retired, having worked in housekeeping at Slippery Rock University.

She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Slippery Rock.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory L. (Melissa) Ferguson of Harrisville, and Jeffrey L. (Valerie) Ferguson of Grove City; her daughter, Lisa C. (Bradley) Shaffer of Falls Creek, Pa.; three grandchildren, Stacey (Jared) Templin, Jonathan Ferguson and Abby Ferguson; two step-grandchildren, Corey (Dawn) Corbin and Travis Corbin; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Natalie Templin; and two step-great-grandchildren, Maddyn (Ben) Buchanan and Storm Corbin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; and two brothers, John Kelsey and Ronald Benedek.

FERGUSON — Friends of Christine Marie Ferguson, who died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, will be received from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Interment will be in Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
