Barbara “BB” Foringer, 79, of Evans City, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice.

She was born in Butler on April 7, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Tosca (Pelligrini) Skunda.

Barb enjoyed baking, and anything outdoors, like walking, gardening, working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

She retired from NAPCO after almost 35 years of employment.

She was a member of the American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora.

Barb was known to be hardworking, loving and caring; she would do anything for anyone. Above all else, she loved being a mom and spending time with her family, as well as her beloved dog. She was loved and will be forever missed.

She was the loving mother of Donald (Amy) Skunda, Bryan (Brittany) Heath, Dean (Nanette) Heath, Barb Gallant and Rich (Lisa) Foringer; and grandmother of Ryan, Sarah, Justin, Jacob, Tia, Jamie, Brad, Bryanna, Braedyn and Bryan.

She also is survived by her brother, Andrew (Diane) Skunda; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Fredrick Foringer; and her sister, Judy McNanny.

FORINGER — Family and friends of Barbara “BB” Foringer, who died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home.

Entombment will be held privately.
