Grace M. McKee Anderson
Grace M. McKee Anderson, 92, of Butler went to be with the Lord on Monday at Newhaven Court at Clearview.
She was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Thomas C. Heberling and the late Jeanetta McGrew Heberling.
Grace worked as a clerk at J.C. Penney Co. for 20 years.
She was a member of Meridian Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deaconess and member of the choir.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the 44 Card Club and a member and past president of Buttercup Garden Club.
Grace was an accomplished seamstress and would alter clothing for people when she was 90 years old. She participated in sewing for Elizabeth Circle. Grace enjoyed happy jacks and table bowling.
She is survived by her son, Alan F. McKee of Maine; two daughters, Margaret S. “Peggy” McKee of Harrisville and Alice J. Zang and her husband, Ellis, of Fenelton; four grandsons, James Zang and his wife, Stacie, of Hilliards, Charles McKee of Maine, Sean McKee and his wife, Amy, of California, and Michael McKee of Maine; a stepgrandson, Allen Zang and his wife, Stacey, of Slippery Rock; a great-granddaughter, Mia Zang; a great-grandson, Collyn Zang; her stepgreat-granddaughters, Mackenzie and Kendra; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Clemson; her dear friends, Patty Kemege, Leighton Fennell and Donna Steinheiser; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James A. McKee, whom she married on Jan. 5, 1946, and who passed away on Sept. 30, 1995; and her second husband, George Elton Anderson, who passed away in 2007.
