Joanne Burrelli, 75, of Frew Mill Road, New Castle, passed away Saturday at Jameson Hospital.

Born in Lyndora on Oct. 5, 1936, Joanne was the daughter of the late John and Julia Smartesky Chepelsky. She married Peter Burrelli on Oct. 20, 1956. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1972.

Joanne was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church.

She retired as a laborer from the Babcox and Wilcox Co. and the Leeds and Northrop Co.

Joanne was an avid reader and an incredible storyteller. She was a faithful Pittsburgh Steelers and college football fan. Joanne cherished the times she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Doren and her husband, Andre, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Diana Mack and her husband, Jeff, of New Castle, Cynthia Barksdale and her husband, Ken, of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, John Chepelsky of Cranberry Township; two sisters, Dorothy Kneram of New Castle and Nancy Chepelsky Bayer of McMurray, Washington County; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was preceded in death by a son, Peter Burrelli, and a sister, Donna Shade.

<B>BURRELLI — </B>Friends of Joanne Burrelli, who Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>ED AND DON DECARBO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY</B>, 941 S. Mill St., New Castle. Services will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Drespling, pastor of Victory Assembly of God Church, officiating.
