Robert L. Iman, 77, of Butler died Wednesday morning at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 22, 1928, in Butler, he was a son of Leland F. and Florence C. Dietz Iman.

He had worked for the B&O Railroad in Butler as a yardmaster for 46 years and retired in 1990.

Mr. Iman was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 64, the American Legion Post 117 and the Slovak Club. He was an avid golfer and pool player.

During World War II, he served in the Navy.

His wife, Edna Mae Green Iman, whom he married Nov. 1, 1949, died Nov. 27, 1997.

He is survived by a son and four daughters, Robert L. Iman, Jr., and his wife, Tracy, Mrs. Daniel (Suzan) Dettore, Mrs. Charles (Maryann) Regis and Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Novak, all of Butler, and Mrs. William (Carrie) Weichler of Erie; two brothers, Leland "Skip" Iman of Zelienople and Arthur "Bucky"Iman of Butler; and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Joanne) Miller of Butler and Ellen Rutledge of Mesa, Ariz.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Mrs. Brian (Kristan) Miller, Charles Gibson Jr., Taylor and Cassie Dettore, Brian and Bradley Regis, Natalie and Haley Novak, Logan and Grace Weichler, Blake Iman, Paige Hackett and Maddox and Ava Iman; two great-grandchildren, Ronan and Kattran Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

<B>IMAN </B>— Friends of Robert L. Iman, who died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at the St. Peter Parish Cemetery.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
