Cranberry Township gets grant to upgrade traffic Route 19 traffic signals
Cranberry Township will receive a $34,650 state grant to upgrade traffic signal controllers along Route 19.
The township is among 20 municipalities sharing in $5 million in traffic signal improvement grants from the state Department of Transportation. Gov. Tom Wolf announced the grants Tuesday.
The grants from PennDOT’s Traffic Signal Technologies Grant program are for installing and maintaining signals and increasing traffic mobility and efficiency.
“The safety improvements supported by the Traffic Signal Technologies grant program not only help municipalities relieve congestion and traffic flow, they help Pennsylvanians move safely and efficiently,” Wolf said. “I’m proud to help our communities improve mobility for Pennsylvanians.”
