Dorothy I. Stoops, 88, of Cabot passed away Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Born Jan. 1, 1929, in Natrona Heights, Pa., she was the daughter of Clair and Esther Leasure Peiffer.

Dorothy had worked as a packer for Moonlight Mushrooms.

Surviving are her children, Gloria Garver of Fort Wayne, Ind., Alan (Nancy) Stoops of Sarver and Larry (Elaine) Stoops of Sarver; her brothers, Robert (Rene) Peiffer of Sarver, Donald (Pat) Peiffer of Sarver and Richard Peiffer of Kittanning; her sister, Marjorie (Bill) Geisler of Harrisville; and six grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Stoops; and her brother, Delmont “Hoss” Peiffer.

STOOPS — There will be no visitation or services for Dorothy I.
