Paul Zid Souzer II, 63, of Lyndora passed away Tuesday at Concordia Good Samaritan Hospice following a short illness.

Born on April 11, 1950, in Butler, he was the son of the late Paul and Kathryn Souzer.

Paul was a 1968 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 1970 Electronics Institute graduate.

In his earlier years, he was employed at ARMCO Steel and the Butler Airport and for 20 years at Ashland Oil. In his later years, he was a self-employed long distance steel hauler, where he enjoyed seeing much of the country.

Paul was a member of the Butler County Genealogy Society, the Butler County Civil War Roundtable, the Tanglewood Center, Pardoe Sportsmen's Association and a life member of the NRA.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, repairing computers, movies and video games. He participated in Mattel Electronics' national playoff competition in Houston, Texas.

Surviving are his wife, Maggie (Gutauskas); his daughters, Larissa and Jennifer (Brian) Bolte; and his three grandchildren, Skye, Christopher and Austin.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis in 2003; his mother, Kathryn in 2011; and his father, Paul in 1995.

SOUZER — The funeral arrangements for Paul Zid Souzer II, 63, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, are private and under the direction of the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury. Burial was in West Sunbury Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the University of Pittsburgh, AD Research Center, UPMC Montefiore, 4th floor, Suite 421, 200 Lothrop St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
