Samuel Grossman

Samuel Grossman, 80, of West Sunbury passed away the evening of Saturday, Dec.10, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Aug. 10, 1942, in Grove City, he was the son of the late James M and late Ruby L. (Phillips) Grossman.

Sam was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from Magnetics in 2004 after 39 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and camping. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sam is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Jane (Brewster) Grossman, whom he married on May 16, 1964; his daughter, Melissa (Skip) Grossman, of Butler; his son, Samuel (Tiffany) Grossman of West Sunbury; three grandsons, Michael (Krissa) Miano, Ryan Miano (Andie), and Colby Grossman; two granddaughters, Shyan Grossman (Gage) and Stephany Berry (Cody); nine great grandchildren and one expected in March; one brother, Larry (Judy) Grossman; one sister, Delores (George) Early; his long time best friend like a brother, Rod (Sandy) Steinheiser; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Sam was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Melvin Grossman; sister-in-law, Alma Polum; nephew, Kevin Lamoreaux; and twin great granddaughters, Ryleigh and Ahna Miano.

GROSSMAN — Family and friends of Samuel Grossman, who died Saturday, Dec.10, 2022, will be received for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

As per Sam’s wishes funeral services and interment will be private.
