Band offers country, classic rock
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Wrangler Band will kick off the music entertainment Monday at the Butler Farm Show.
A group native to Western Pennsylvania, The Wrangler Band features three lead singers and performs a variety of music from country to classic rock.
The band also writes its own material, and has shared the stage with the likes of Faith Hill, Brad Paisley, Neil McCoy and Loretta Lynn.
They will be playing at 7 and 9 p.m. Monday at the Dingbats Pavilion. The show is free.
Other bands will be featured throughout the week as well. They are:
Aug. 8 — Street Level, will play contemporary Christian music. The band plays positive message secular music in a classic horn band style.
Aug. 9 — The Tom Walker Family will play contemporary Christian music.
Aug. 10 — Slim Chance, a local cover band, will play a country show. The band features six musicians and has been played on several local radio stations.
Aug. 11 — Remington Ryde, a band from central Pennsylvania, will be playing bluegrass music. The band placed third in the Colgate Country Showdown and has released two albums.
Aug. 12 — A fiddling contest will begin at 5 p.m. in the Dingbats Pavilion, featuring bluegrass band Diamonds in the Rough.All bands will play two shows, at 7 and 9 p.m., in the Dingbats Pavilion. All shows are free.
