Rescue crews free deer stuck in pond for nearly a day
A first responder on Mills Pond in Roxbury, N.J., snares a deer which had became stuck in the ice. An amphibious rescue craft almost reached the deer but suddenly tipped and sank. All of the responders and the deer were eventually rescued. The deer got stuck Saturday morning and wasn’t freed until Sunday. It wasn’t known if the animal had suffered any injuries.
