Dennis Steighner

Dennis K. Steighner, 57, of Petrolia died unexpectedly on Sunday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following a car accident.

He was born Thursday, March 29, 1962, in Natrona Heights, and was the son of the late Kenneth F. Steighner and the late Eleanor E. Orris Steighner.

He made his living as a landscaper.

He enjoyed being with his family.

Dennis was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Kathy L. (Ace) Steighner, whom he married on Saturday, April 9, 1988; two daughters, Sylvia Homison and her fiancé, Heath Confer, of Chicora, and Jessica Steighner of Petrolia; a stepgranddaughter, Tara Confer; two grandchildren, Evelynn Confer and Errin Confer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Carol Ann Steighner; and his brothers, LaVern Steighner and Gary Steighner.

STEIGHNER — Friends of Dennis K. Steighner, who died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Boomhower officiating.

Cremation services are entrusted to Steighner Funeral Home, Chicora.
