Julia E. Eddinger

Julia “Julie” E. Eddinger, 80, of Stuart, Fla., formerly of Bruin, passed away Wednesday at the Hay-Madeira Hospice House surrounded by her family.

Her life began in Pittsburgh where she was born on May 22, 1931, the daughter of George and Helen (Rottman) Sabich.

Julie lived most of her life in Bruin before moving to Stuart, Fla., where she lived the past 16 years.

On March 2, 1948, she married the love of her life, Floyd Russell Eddinger Sr. They were blessed with 32 years of marriage until his death in 1980.

While a resident of Bruin, she worked at Parker Glass Container, retiring in 1980 as a packer after 25 years. She was a member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parker and later the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Chicora. Julie was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW in Stuart, Fla. Her favorite pastimes included going on cruises and dancing, particularly to country western music.

Julie was liked by all who knew her. She touched many lives with her kind ways and selfless acts, whether it be the numerous hours volunteering at the vets club or some other random act of kindness that made someone else's day just a little better. All who met her, whether a stranger or friend, were given the gift of her charm and love of people. Her fun-loving and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by her family, friends and acquaintances.

Her memory will be carried on by her son, Floyd Russell Eddinger Jr. and his wife, Debby, of Stuart, Fla.; her daughter, Betty Learn and her husband, Chuck, of Cabot; her three grandchildren, Floyd Russell Eddinger III and his wife, Kristen, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Steven King of Rimersburg and Bradley King and his wife, Susie, of Sarver; and her six great- grandchildren.
