State police announces promotions

The Pennsylvania State Police promoted two officers to the rank of corporal who will serve in Butler, Troop D. Those officers include:

• Chad E. Savannah, of Butler, Butler County, has been promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop D, Butler. Corporal Savannah enlisted in the state police in 2009.

• Jessica A. Titler, of Butler Township, Butler County, has been promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop D, Butler. Corporal Titler enlisted in the state police in 2013.

Additional officers who reside in Butler were promoted to other troops in surrounding counties. Those officers include:

• Mark A. Hoehn, of Butler Township, Butler County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop B, Pittsburgh. Sergeant Hoehn enlisted in the state police in 2007 and was promoted to corporal in 2017.

• Michael B. Schmidt, of Butler Township, Butler County, has been promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop B, Washington. Sergeant Schmidt enlisted in the state police in 2012 and was promoted to corporal in 2018.

• Nickolas R. Elliott, of Butler County, has been promoted to corporal and assigned to the Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations. Corporal Elliott enlisted in the state police in 2016.

• Cassandra L. Miller, of Forestville, Butler County, has been promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop D, New Castle. Corporal Miller enlisted in the state police in 2014.

• Matthew P. Thurner, of Petrolia, Butler County, has been promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop D, New Castle. Corporal Thurner enlisted in the state police in 2014.
