Marilyn M. Johnston
Marilyn M. Johnston, 85, of Butler, passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Butler, to the late Frank E.H. Johnston and the late Ethel Shannon Johnston.
Marilyn was employed at Mellon Bank for 36 years before her retirement.
Marilyn was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church where she participated in the church choir, Presbyterian Women and the Church Bible Study.
She was a member of the Butler County Symphony, Buttercup Garden Club, Butler Little Theatre, Christian Women, Butler Dog Training Association and the board for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed line-dancing and playing 500 and bridge.
Marilyn is survived by one sister, Shirley Powell of Cherry Hill, N.J.; three nieces, Sandi Roberts of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Wendy Kutz of West Chester, Pa., and Cindy Murphy of Media, Pa.; and one nephew, Rickard Powell of Marlton, N.J.
JOHNSTON — Friends of Marilyn M. Johnston, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St.A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev.
