Paul B. Glackin Jr.

Paul B. Glackin Jr., 74, of Mars passed away quietly Aug. 8 from the complications of a stroke.

Paul was a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania. He was born in Pittsburgh and lived in Mars most of his life.

Paul was a U.S. Army veteran, where he served as a communications specialist.

After discharge, he worked for American Bridge as an electrician. When American Bridge was sold to Continental Engineering, he stayed on at the plant to facilitate the sale of assets and inventory. Paul finished his career at Booth Industries.

Paul is survived by his current wife and two children from a previous marriage, Mary Beth Waugaman and Keith Glackin; and four grandchildren.

He is survived by four sisters, Pat Griffiths, Eileen Beuther, Kristine Rockwell and Judy Glackin-Sedwick; and his half-brother, Christopher Glackin.

He also is survived by a very supportive stepmother, Opal D. Glackin.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Gretchen Ruiz.

Although Paul was estranged from much of his family, they choose to remember him in happier times. He will be sadly missed.

GLACKIN — There will be no services for Paul B. Glackin Jr., who died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016.
