Hilda Marie (Leitem) Melchert, 89, of Plum, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022.

She was born on March, 27, 1933, and was the daughter of the late John and Genevieve (Brendt) Leitem.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Edward Melchert; and her sons, August “Gus” Melchert, John Melchert and Roy Melchert.

Hilda is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Melchert; her daughter, Laura Melchert; and by four siblings.

MELCHERT — Friends of Hilda Marie (Leitem) Melchert, who died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Monroeville/Plum Chapel, 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Plum Creek Cemetery.
