Ellsworth R. “Shorty” Davison Jr.
Ellsworth R. “Shorty” Davison Jr., 78, of Saxonburg passed away Wednesday in Bradenton, Fla.
Born in Pittsburgh, April 4, 1940, he was the son of the late Ellsworth R. Sr. and Irene Cleger Davison.
Shorty was a shop superintendent for Butler Fabricating. He and his wife, Shirley, had owned and operated Davison's Family Restaurants in Mars and Saxonburg-Sarver.
Surviving are two daughters, Lori (Brian) Olsen of Venice, Fla., and Lynn (Roy) Chiaramonte of Gibsonia; a son, Larry (Janice) Davison of Sarasota, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Barbara (Craig) Iman of Cranberry Township and Michele Walker of Saxonburg; a stepson, John Boreland of Mars; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Dunbar of Saxonburg and Shirley (John) Abt of Gibsonia; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley L. Martz Davison, who died on Aug. 28, 2008; a sister, Irene Steinke; and a brother, James Davison.
