Denise Kushner

Kushner

Denise Florence (Larkins) Kushner, 76, of Butler, with her husband by her side, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, after a five-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Denise was born Oct. 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Jurecko Larkins.

Denise enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, reading and going to see musicals and plays with her friends and family. Most of all, she loved to watch her grandchildren in their various activities. From band and chorus concerts, to baseball, basketball and football games, to swim meets and debate competitions, “Grandma” was always there to support her grandchildren in whatever they chose to do.

She is survived by Raymond, her loving husband of 53 glorious years; sons, John (Beverly) and Joseph (Pamela); grandchildren, Jacob, Brayden, Logan, Carson, Cameron and Bella; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Kushner; three nieces; one nephew; numerous cousins and extended family; and many dear, lifelong friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Carlee and Allison Kushner, and her brother-in-law, Charles Kushner.

The family would like to express its thanks to the incredibly helpful staff of the ALS Association of Western Pennsylvania and the devoted caregivers of Good Samaritan Hospice for the wonderful service they provided.
