Juanita L. “Bridget” Diamond
Juanita L. “Bridget” Diamond, 87, a resident of Concordia Lutheran Personal Care in Cabot since 2010, formerly of Butler, passed away on Thursday.
She was born June 23, 1929, in Craigsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Walter Rearick and the late Velma Geisler Rearick.
Juanita was Lutheran by faith. She worked as a laboratory technician at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Butler.
She was a past active volunteer at Tanglewood Center. She was a past member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
Juanita loved animals. She enjoyed bingo, puzzling and all her friends and staff at Concordia.
Juanita is survived by one son, Richard Diamond, II and his wife, Beverly of Saxonburg; one daughter, Denise Smith and her fiancé, David “Dick” Stalker, of Butler; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Diamond, whom she married on Sept. 20, 1946, and who died on Sept. 26, 1999; two infant grandsons; and one son-in-law, Daniel Smith Jr.
DIAMOND — Friends of Juanita L. “Bridget” Diamond, who died Thursday, March 30, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
