Randall "Randy" Clarence O'Hara, 46, of Prospect passed away Friday at Allegheny General Hospital while waiting for a heart transplant.

He was born May 14, 1964, in Butler, the son of Beverly G. McQuistion O'Hara and the late Clarence M. O'Hara.

He was a 1983 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and 1987 graduate of Slippery Rock University.

He was a branch manager at Allied Electronics in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, where he was an elder, and he was in the Missional Church Program.

He was an avid conservative Republican, loved his country and was a supporter of organ donation.

He is survived by his wife, Starlene S. Hinds O'Hara, who he married Feb. 6, 1998; his son, Justin D. O'Hara of Prospect; his mother, Beverly G. O'Hara of Prospect; two stepchildren, Adrienne M. Hurd of Pittsburgh and Benjamin A. Hurd of Idaho; a grandson who lived with him, Brendan J. Hurd; a sister, Sheldine G. (Kevin) O'Hara Mahoney of Red Lion, Pa.; an uncle, Wayne A. O'Hara of Eau Claire; a number of nieces and nephews; and his in-laws, Dale and Susan Hinds of Portersville.

He was preceded in death by his Father Clarence M. O'Hara; a sister, Denise B. O'Hara Nickel; his grandparents; and his aunt, Gail A. Capello.

<B>O'HARA </B>— Visitation for Randall "Randy" Clarence O'Hara, who died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church of Prospect with the Rev. Rob Allison, his church pastor, officiating.
