Gaylord K. “Herb” Hutchison
Gaylord K. “Herb” Hutchison, 77, of Hilliards passed away Friday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Herb was born March 4, 1939, in Ridgeville. He was the son of the late Claude D. Hutchison and the Helen Maye McNeish Hutchison.
He retired as a foreman with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. Herb served in the U.S. National Guard.
He was a member of the Hilliards Methodist Church. Herb was a member of the American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury and the VDSSA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan.
Herb is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Patrick) Rumbaugh of West Sunbury and Beth Hutchison of Hilliards; seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Patrick (Ashley) and Ryan Rumbaugh, Heather (Scott) Bayless, and Mogan, Danica, and Hunter Scott; and six great-grandchildren, Keegan and Brantley Rumbaugh, Sydney and Greg Bayless and Cadance and Kendall Scott; and two daughters-in-law, Deb Hutchison of West Sunbury and Emily Hutchison of Petrolia.
Also surviving are two brothers, Lyle (Nancy) Hutchison of Karns City and Donald (Janet) Burnett of Barkeyville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Herb was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Woolcutt Hutchison, who passed away June 4, 2016; two sons, Timothy Hutchison and Scott Hutchison; one grandson, Clair Glenn; and three brothers.
HUTCHISON — Friends of Gaylord K. “Herb” Hutchison, who died Friday, July 15, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kate Reitz, his pastor, officiating.
