Alice Jane Christy, 80, of Slippery Rock, passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022.

She was born in Butler County on July 21, 1942, to Kenneth Ray McConnell and Evalena Hogue McConnell.

She married Gerald A. Christy on Oct. 7, 1961.

She was a self-employed notary and retired in 2019.

She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her animals, including her dog and cats. She was a farm girl.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald at home; her daughter, Pamela J. (Randal) Smith of North Washington, Pa.; two sons, Kevin G. Christy of Harrisville, and Michael R. Christy of Slippery Rock; four grandchildren, Brittany, Brandie, Amber and Kevin Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Chloe.

CHRISTY — The family of Alice Jane Christy, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Slippery Rock Cemetery.
