James D. Scheidemantle
James D. Scheidemantle, 85, of Harmony passed away Saturday at Katera's Kove Assisted Living in Wampum.
Born Dec. 22, 1930, in Muddy Creek Township, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Florence (Druschel) Scheidemantle.
Jim had a lifetime career at Kerry Coal in Portersville until his retirement in 1992.
He loved gardening and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his children, Donald (LaRaye) Scheidemantle of Portersville, Randy (Kim) Scheidemantle of Harmony, Donna Eichenberger of Harmony and Sally Hatfield of Grove City; two stepchildren, Mark and Michael Walko; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Peffer, and several brothers and sisters.
SCHEIDEMANTLE — Friends of James D. Scheidemantle, who died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
