Cynthia Russell Hammel, 61, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022.

Born on Aug. 16, 1961, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late William and Nina Soldano Russell. Cynthia was the loving mother of Samantha A. Maseroni and Jacob R. Hammel (fiancée Rachel); sister of Katherine Frobe, Denise Wolbert and William (Tina) Russell; and dear grandmother of Grace, Gensyn and Boston.

Cindy was a graduate of Richland High School, now Pine Richland. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Cindy brought love and laughter with her everywhere she went. She loved singing and dancing, good movies, traveling and spending time with the family who loves her so dearly. Cindy was strong and courageous, a child of God and a bright light in this often dark world.

HAMMEL — A celebration of life will be held at a future date for Cynthia Russell Hammel, who died Friday, Nov. 18, 2022.
