Dorothy Mae Nail (McKissick), 84, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, surrounded by her family while under hospice care in Clayton, N.C.

Dorothy was born on March 6, 1938, in Butler, and was the daughter of her late parents, Nelson and Stella McKissick.

She raised seven wonderful children with her husband of 66 years, Thomas Nail.

Dorothy lived in Beaver for over 50 years, then moved to Portersville. She worked in the restaurant industry, managing and waitressing at restaurants in Beaver and Butler counties.

She loved traveling, fishing and camping in the RV with her husband, family and grandchildren. She once bowled a perfect score of 300.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Debra L. Wilson; three sisters; and three brothers.

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Linda Pugh; and six children, Charles F. Nail (Lou Ann), Thomas E. Nail (Linda), Margaret L. Allison (Ronald), Scott E. Nail (Sandra), John D. Nail and Tammy M. Muron (Robert).

She will be missed by all, including her 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
