Velazquez

Rafael G. “Ray” Velazquez, 80, of Worthington, passed away on Nov. 20, 2022, at the Personal Care House.

He was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and was the son of the late Elviro Velazquez and the late Bella Erazo.

Ray worked for Heasley Nursery.

He enjoyed going bowling, boating and fishing.

Ray is survived by his sister, Josefina Velazquez of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and her children; one sister-in-law, Deborah Bender of Butler; two brothers-in-law, Donald Bender and William McLaughlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth K. Huselton Velazquez, whom he married on Sept. 29, 1973.

VELAZQUEZ — There will be no public visitation or public services for Rafael G. “Ray” Velazquez, who died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022.
