Miller

Carl Leroy Miller, 90, of Lancaster Township, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, while under the care of Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver.

Born April 12, 1932, in Middle Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry Miller and Anna Laura Domhoff Miller.

Carl was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middle Lancaster, where he had been baptized and confirmed. He served on the church council and the cemetery association.

Carl proudly served as a Boy Scout master for over 40 years. He and his wife visited Alaska three times to volunteer at a Bible camp there.

Carl will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 70 years, Betty Marie Eshelman Miller, whom he married Sept. 27, 1952; his two children, Darrell (Terry) Miller of Zelienople and Carla (Dale) Wright of Harmony; his six grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Nicole Cushman, Erin Kennerdell, Diana Chase, Adam Wright and Dean Wright; his nine great-grandchildren, Leah, Kevin, Preston, Payton, Jackson, Bodie, Lydia, Ella and Aubrey; his sister, Donna Hall of Zelienople; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his two sisters, Thelma Bensink and Helen Trimble.

MILLER — Friends of Carl Leroy Miller, who died Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Additional visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Hwy., Harmony, with the Rev. Timothy Dawes officiating.

Carl will be laid to rest at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
