Loretta Kay Brown
Loretta Kay Brown, 58, of Youngstown, Ohio, formerly of Karns City, went to be with the Lord at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Young-stown following a brief illness.
She was born in Butler on Nov. 22, 1954. Kay was the daughter of Harvey Ealy and Corine L. Ealy Barnhart.
Kay attended the Leesburg Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and shopping. She had attended the Karns City School District.
Surviving is her husband, William A. Brown. The couple was married on Aug. 10, 1968, at the Karns City Church of God of Prophecy by the Rev. George Croyle.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Tammy Eileene Brown and her friend, Stan Harding, of Youngstown, Ohio, Robbie W. Brown and Christopher H. Brown, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Tara R. Brown and her friend, Zack Chartier, and Gabrielle F. Brown, all of Youngstown, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joshua, Robbie Jr., Michael, Kyle, Jessica, Leanne, Victoria, Kayla, Chrissy, Gabrielle, Christopher Jr., Samuel, Brandyn and Izaiah; one great-grandson, Braxton; a sister, Thelma Rankin and her husband, Bill, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; three brothers, Harvey Ealy and his wife, Ann, of Ravenswood, W.Va., Donald Ealy and his wife, Ginger, of Leesburg and Terry Barnhart and his wife, Trisha, of Warren, Ohio; as well as a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Steve Barnhart; a brother, Stevie Barnhart; and her mother-in-law and her father-in-law, Merle and Catherine Brown.
BROWN — Friends of Loretta Kay Brown, who passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bishop C. Jay Croyle Jr., the presiding Bishop of the Church of God of Prophecy of Pennsylvania, and the Rev. Scott Kifer, pastor of the Leesburg Church of God of Prophecy, officiating.
