James L. Junk, 91, of Cabot, passed away on Nov. 15, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born March 20, 1931, in Vanderbilt, Pa., he was the son of Robert F. Junk and Emma F. Sechrist Junk.

Jim worked in production management for II-VI.

He was a life member of NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) and a life member of the NRA.

He raised and trained English setters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling world wide, big-game hunting, and was a self-trained conservationist.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred (Faidley) Junk, whom he married on June 19, 1954; two sons, Ronald K. (Debbie) Junk of Cabot, and James W. (Tracy) Junk of Cabot; his daughter, Amy D. (Randy) Baker of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley) Junk, Zachary (Miranda) Junk and Willow Baker; and two great-grandchildren, Everett and Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert W. Junk.

JUNK — Friends of James L. Junk, who died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jonathan Fehl officiating.

Interment will follow in Sarverville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation; the National Wild Turkey Federation; the Ruffed Grouse Society; or a charity of the donor’s choice.
